A REFLECTION OF THE PRE EASTER 2010

21 February 2010

God will create living creatures to inhabit the universe. First, he called a cow and given offerings. The Lord said, “O cow, I created you will live in the world. Your job is to work hard all day under the hot sun in the fields. I gave you until 50 years of age. Are you willing? ” Cows are not able to work hard for 50 years. From negotiations finally approved, the cow just want to live to 20 years.

Then next, summoned monkey. The Lord said, “O monkey, you will I create to live in the world. Your job is entertaining people with kelucuanmu. I’ll give you 20 years of age. Are you willing? ” Monkeys could not work hard entertain continuously for 20 years. From negotiations finally approved, the monkey just want to live to 10 years.

Third, summoned the dog. The Lord said, “O dog, you will I create to live in the world. Your job is to sit and watch in front of the house and barking. I’ll give you 20 years of age. Are you willing? ” Dogs are not able to work sitting in front of the door and barked for 20 years. From negotiations finally approved, the dog would only live to 10 years.

Last summoned mankind. The Lord said, “O people, your lives will I create in the world. Your job is to eat, sleep and have fun filling your life. I give you up to 20 years of age. Are you willing? ” Humans are not able to accept only 20 years of age. Humans ask God to change the age of the cow’s ration, monkeys and dogs that have been rejected. God grant that request.

Once sent to the world all running tasks each according to God’s commandments. Human beings live according to nature when starting birth to 20-year-old. At age went to 20 to 50 years old man worked hard all day tossing a bone. At the age of 50 to 60 years old, retired people and playing with his grandchildren. Read funny stories and funny expressions, or make to make grandchildren laugh. Age 60 to 70 years old man was weak and frail, much time is spent sitting in front of the house. He saw people coming and going through. No barking, but only an occasional cough. “Uhuk-uhuk …!”

Reflection:

From the ashes will return to ashes. Pre-Easter period is the time we come back clean. We make life more valuable, by serving others. In this world, we live with others. Should be shared and serve each other. We have a duty. Not new, but re-emphasized according to the theme APP 2010: “Let’s work together against poverty”
